1978 Honda CB750-K Four

This 1978 Honda CB750 was acquired by the selling dealer one year ago and recently underwent a reconditioning for sale. The bike is powered by a 736cc SOHC 4-cylinder with a 5-speed transmission, and the mechanical refurbishment included a carburetor rebuild, adjustment of the valves and timing, a new cam chain tensioner, and an oil change. The tires, battery, and fuel petcock were also replaced, and the seat recovered. Approximately 100 miles have been added to the 30k miles currently shown. This CB750 is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with the factory tool kit, owner’s manual, and a clean Wisconsin title.

The tank is finished in black with red and gold striping, and paint chips can be seen along with corrosion on the lower portion of the fork tubes and rear shocks. The 4-into-4 exhaust also has a dent on the upper left-side muffler. Replica mirrors have been fitted and the seat re-covered, though the latter is now missing the rear grab rail. Upgrades include an H4 headlight and modern incandescent turn signal bulbs. A new battery, chain, and petcock have been fitted, and the hydraulic front brake flushed. Chrome wire-spoke wheels wear new tires.

Instrumentation consists of a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm red-line. Just under 30k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, of which the seller has added approximately 100.

The SOHC 736cc 4-cylinder was factory-rated at 68 horsepower and is paired with a 5-speed transmission. A kick starter supplements the electric starter, and features include four 28mm Keihin carburetors and an aftermarket oil pressure gauge that is noted to read erratically. In preparation for sale, the selling dealer replaced the cam chain tensioner, adjusted the ignition points, timing, and valve clearances, and rebuilt the carburetors with new seals. The spark plugs were also replaced, and the oil and filter changed.

The factory tool kit, owner’s manual, and Honda branded keys will be included. A descriptive walkaround video is provided below.
