Been reading it since chapter 3... easily on my top 5 for novels. MC is smart and thinks out the consequences of his actions (as in, not just killing everything that offends him). The language is poetic and the story is quite well-written. The characters are well-developed.

I want to rate this 3.7 stars but I can't so I'll just round up to 4. As one of my first few xianxias I definitely thought of it highly at the time but after reading some better works, I now realize that this isn't as good as I thought.

Soo what to say.... this is awesome!!! First of all, of course, it has cultivation, good fights and interesting world like xianxia should have (and xianxia lovers like). Secondly, this MC is probably my favorite among xianxia novels. He is smart, scheming, resourceful and very funny (and of course with great cultivation potential). Thirdly this novel probably has the best comedy elements I've read in xianxia. BUT THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS NOVEL, in my opinion, are its antagonists.

So far I'm in love. The characters (good and bad) are well thought out. You can feel the romance and care between characters. The fights feel realistic in a sense and the power system is (although generic in a sense) well done. The world building is satisfactory right now (assuming it will continue). The humor feels right and yeah just a smooth story so far. It is definitely worth checking out to see if it is something you'll like.
